For the purpose of keeping you always in touch and assuring that you do not miss a single call, UMC provides for all subscribers of the UMC , SIM-SIM and JEANS new, absolutely free-of-charge services Who Called! and Notify Me!

Call Forwarding

  • You may forward incoming calls from your mobile phone:
    • to any other mobile phone within the UMC network;
    • to Voice Mailbox;
    • to any local landline phone number in Ukraine.

  • Call forwarding options:
    • "unconditional" – unconditional forwarding of all calls;
    • "busy" – call forwarding when you are talking to somebody else on your phone at this moment;
    • "no answer" – call forwarding if you do not answer the call;
    • "out of coverage" – call forwarding when you are outside the GSM coverage area or your phone is switched off.

  • Call forwarding from your mobile handset can be activated in two ways:
    • With the help of your mobile phone's menu (for more details read the User's Manual of your mobile handset) or
    • Directly using your mobile handset keyboard with the help of call forwarding codes and the appropriate call forwarding commands.

Call Forwarding using a mobile phone keyboard

  • To activate call forwarding using your mobile handset keyboard:
    • press * twice;
    • enter the appropriate call forwarding code and press *;
    • enter the destination phone number (in the desired international format), you want to forward calls to;
    • press # and the button "Send call".

  • For example, to activate call forwarding option "no answer" to the phone number +38044 268 ÕÕÕÕ dial:  **61*+38044268ÕÕÕÕ#

  • How to deactivate call forwarding using your mobile handset keyboard:
    • press # twice;
    • enter the call forwarding code, you want to deactivate;
    • press # and the button "Send call".
  • For example, to deactivate the call forwarding option that was activated in the above-mentioned example: ##61#

  • To deactivate all call forwarding options using your mobile handset keyboard:
    • enter ##002# and the button "send call".

  • To check the status of call forwarding options:
    • press *, then # ;
    • enter the call forwarding code, of the option you want to check;
    • press # and the button "send call".

  • For example, in order to check the current status of call forwarding option "no answer" dial: *#61#

Call Hold

  • Call Hold gives a subscriber the opportunity of making another outgoing call while already calling without interrupting this connection.
  • With the help of your phone's menu you can speak to both callers in turn. For more information concerning Call Hold, please see the User's Guide of your mobile handset.

  • Attention! While calling the emergency number 112 the Call Hold service does not function.

Call Waiting

  • Once Call Waiting is activated, while talking on your phone you will receive a beep to inform you of another incoming call.

  • You can answer it during an active call with the help of the Call Hold service or after ending the active call. The subscriber who calls you will hear the normal ringing tones irrespective of the fact you are talking on the phone or your phone is free.

Conference Call

  • The Conference Call service allows you to set up a simultaneous multiparty connection between a maximum of six subscribers (including yourself).

  • It's not only UMC subscribers who can be connected to conference call, but also:
    • subscribers of other mobile communications operators in Ukraine,
    • subscribers of general landline network and
    • subscribers from other countries.

  • To use this service your phone has to support this function.

  • For more information on how to set up and delete a conference call refer to the User's Guide of your mobile phone.

Calling line identity restriction of your phone number (CLIR)

  • Calling line identity restriction of your phone number allows you to restrict the display of your phone number on the phone you are calling.
    You can order this service in addition.
    The fee of the service is a one-time activation fee.

  • Attention! The Calling line identity restriction of your phone number does not function when sending a SMS. The phone number of your mobile phone will appear in an SMS whatever.
  • If you decided to display your phone number for certain calls within the UMC network:
    • press *;
    • enter 31 and press #;
    • enter the phone number you want to call;
    • press the button "send call".

  • Example, to display your phone number while calling +38 044 268 ÕÕÕÕ dial: *31#+38044268ÕÕÕÕ

Incoming Call Barring

  • All Incoming Calls Barring gives you the possibility of restricting incoming calls and this allows you to keep complete control of your mobile communications expenses.

  • To activate the service:
    • press *;
    • enter 35 and press *;
    • enter your personal password;
    • enter *11 # and press the button "call" as in an outgoing call.

  • This service does not affect sending SMS, faxes and data transmission.

  • To deactivate the service:
    • press # ;
    • enter 35 and press *;
    • enter *11# and press the button "call" as in an outgoing call.

  • To check the status of the service:
    • press *;
    • enter #35 ;
    • enter *11# and press the button "call" as in an outgoing call


Incoming Call Barring while roaming

  • Incoming call barring while international roaming gives you the possibility of restricting incoming calls even when you are abroad. You can activate the service while being within the UMC network, as well as in the network of UMC roaming-partners.

  • To activate the service:
    • press *;
    • enter 351 and press *;
    • enter your personal password;
    • enter *11# and press the button "call" as in an outgoing call.
  • This service does not affect the sending of SMS, faxes and data transmission.

  • To deactivate the service:
    • press #;
    • enter 351 and press *;
    • enter your personal password;
    • enter *11# and press the button "call" as in an outgoing call.

  • To check the status of the service:
    • press *;
    • enter #351;
    • enter *11# and press the button "call" as in an outgoing call.

    To deactivate all barring at the same time:
    • press *;
    • enter #351;
    • enter *11# and press the button "call" as in an outgoing call.

  • To deactivate all barring at the same time:
    • press #;
    • dial 330 and press *;
    • enter your personal password;
    • enter # and press the button "call" as in an outgoing call.
